A Little Early Spring Cleaning Can Make All the Difference
The weather was unpredictable today, going back and forth between dark clouds with wind and rain one minute to blinding sunshine the next. It couldn’t quite make up its mind, so it seemed like the perfect day to hunker down and get as much accomplished as we could.
I finished editing tomorrow’s vlog (that premieres at 12p ET!) all about our first day at Disney, so be on the lookout for that. I put off working on it for the entire week because of how much footage we had to edit down, but I luckily came out of it alive and well, and it’s ready for your viewing pleasure.
We also cleaned the whole house from top to bottom. PJ organized a bunch of packages we’ve received and cleaned out the hutch in our front room, along with all of our sheets. Why do we have so many different pairs of white sheet sets that are somehow all mismatched? How did we let this happen? While he was doing that, I was dusting the tops of the window trim and cleaning all the windows in the house. I can’t remember the last time that happened, I’m sad to say, but man do clean windows sure make all the difference. It’s like night and day. You don’t really realize how dirty they truly are until they’re clean again.
And then, my mom swung by and took the kids for a few hours. She gave them a tour of her Catholic Church and is taking Allan to tomorrow’s service with her. While she was out, she also picked up some of tonight’s dinner ingredients (the biggest help), and threw in some Bath & Body Works soap for me because, “It was on sale.” What am I going to do with her?
Overall it was such a productive day, the kind where you go to bed knowing you did everything you could do for the day and there is nothing else to give.
I suppose my only delete for the day would be running out of time to mop the house. It’s been way, way too long.
