A Little Reminder

“The world is heavy
but your bones
(just a cubic inch)
can hold 19,000 lbs

ounce for ounce
they are stronger than steel

atom for atom
you are more precious than diamond

and stars have died
so that you may live

you need to remember these things
when you say that you are weak
and worthless”

-Robert Tew

You are worth it. Regardless of your relationship status, your job situation, your financial situation, your friendships, where you live, what your friends/family or society thinks of you, you are worth it, and you are loved. Don’t listen to anything else but what is deep down in your heart.

And remember, we’re all in this together. Isn’t it comforting to know we’re not alone out there?

Signs of a Good Night

Do you ever wake up in the morning and see the leftover signs of the night before?

Maybe it’s the lingering smell of your favorite candle or dishes on the counter from a late night meal. The other night, we woke up in the morning to a round pan on our island, reminding us of the frozen pizza we had at 1:30am the night before.

For us, this morning, it was an empty glass of wine on our bedside table and the rest of the bottle in the kitchen, along with the popcorn we (accidentally) left out all night. Almost immediately, we were taken back to the night before and we couldn’t help but get the biggest smiles on our faces. Sometimes it’s those little signs of a night well spent that stay with you the longest, don’t you think?

Hope you had a good one, too, friends!
