May We Carry the Spirit of Pride All Year Long

May We Carry the Spirit of Pride All Year Long

As we enter July and leave probably one of the strangest Pride months behind, despite everything, we’re feeling optimistic for the future, and not just for the LGBTQ+ community, but as a whole.

A New Playroom for the Kids

IMG_2966.jpeg

FINALLY.

We’ve been meaning to do this for months, and this weekend we decided to stop talking about it and actually make it happen. We turned the boys’ bedroom into all three of the kiddos’ playroom and it’s made all the difference, even after only two days! They now have a room of their own (instead of the upstairs landing that we made their playroom a few months ago) to keep all of their toys, watch TV, and just be kids in. Bonus: the room has doors on it 🙏🏼😂.

It’s also the room that probably gets the most sunlight this time of year, so it’s light and bright with fun pops of color here and there. We hope they continue to play in it and love it as much as we do. We can’t wait to show the whole room, but wanted to leave a sneak peek here for now.

Feeling so grateful for simple joys like this lately. xx

The Biggest Little Helpers

Adjustments.jpeg

Last night at the land, we mowed and picked up all the sticks & branches towards the front of the property. When the kiddos saw us dragging the limbs to the fire pile, they all rushed over and enthusiastically offered to help. How cute is that? They’re always wanting to help us at home, the land, etc. (please let that be a long-term thing haha) and get so much satisfaction when they’re able to. Even little sis! She was dragging this big branch with ease and a big smile on her face, feeling (we’re guessing) the biggest sense of accomplishment when she saw that she had made it all the way to the brush pile. These kids, y’all. They’re something special.

Where Have We Been?

After a few weeks of taking a break from YouTube, we finally posted a new video yesterday with big updates on the cottage and the land. Happy to get back into the groove of posting weekly vlogs!

Sunday Night Fort Building

Because what else are you supposed to do when it’s been dark, rainy, and dreary all day? Older brother is obsessed with making forts and today seemed as good a day as any to let his imagination run wild. Or in this case, stack a few pillows and blankets over the coffee table and couch.

Happy Sunday, friends!

Happy Father’s Day!

IMG_2588.jpeg

Sending our love to fathers everywhere today, no matter who you are, what your role as a father looks like, or how you’re spending it. We also want to thank everyone for the kind wishes as we celebrate our first Father’s Day. It’s been the honor of our lives to be here for these kiddos and we don’t take one second of it for granted.

Hope you have a wonderful day!! xo
