Read MoreHappy Friday, y’all. After a few days of bad weather, we’re looking forward to enjoying the sunshine this weekend with some trips out to the land to get some fresh air and let the kiddos run around. Any fun plans you’re looking forward to?
Today’s Feature Friday is a beautiful couple who takes turns answering questions and discuss their coming out stories, what their environment was like growing up, and where they see themselves in 5 years. We loved getting to know Jorge and Morgan and we think you will, too. Check out what we mean below…

Read MoreWe’re all home for the foreseeable future, and it seems like everyone is consuming more content than ever before. We end almost every night on the couch with popcorn (and fur babies) in our laps watching something to take our minds off of everything going on right now. It’s been a nice respite and a relaxing way to wind down each day. Here’s what’s keeping us entertained as of late:

Read MoreGood morning. We told ourselves we would start reading more during social distancing, and with a lot more time on our hands staying for the last month (though still staying pretty busy), we have so far completed one book, haha. We just finished The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon and can’t recommend it enough as a cozy quarantine read. Have you read it?
The story takes place in Vermont during winter, and is complete with mysteries, murders, spells, a cozy farmhouse, a scary forest, and lots and lots of snow. It’s a rainy day today and we’re wishing we hadn’t finished it because it’s the perfect book to curl up by the fire with some coffee or tea and lose yourself in the world of the sleepers. You’ll know what we mean once you read it. Highly recommend it, friends.
Currently looking for our next read! xx
This time of year, the most gorgeous, warm light pours in through the back of our house, starting around 6p and illuminating everything in an orangey glow. It put a few smiles on our faces tonight. A comforting, familiar light.
We’re finishing the new series “War of the Worlds” (before our free trial ends tomorrow) with wine and popcorn and drawing up floor plans for our land. It’s been a good night.
Hope you had a good one too, friends. xx
A few weeks ago, when we first started self-isolating and were very into baking, we made these easy and yummy cinnamon muffins for the kiddos who gobbled them up in seconds. We forgot to share the recipe we found back then, so here we are!

Read MoreHappy Friday! How are you feeling this week? It doesn’t really feel like a Friday to us, since we’re home everyday and the kiddos are out of school, but we’re doing our best to celebrate it anyway with music and biscuits to start the weekend off right. Hope you’re doing the best you can, friend, and enjoy Christopher’s Feature Friday, where shares his perspective on life, loss, and realizing where he truly belongs. Check out what we mean below…
Read MoreBecause it’s absolutely a thing, and tonight, we’re making the most of it.
We’ve had all of the windows and doors open today, letting the fresh, cool air (it luckily rained overnight, getting rid of some of the pollen that’s been covering everything in a yellow haze) come swooshing through the house. We finished our work early, though it took what seemed like forever to complete, and got started on dinner. We’re making this chicken and rice casserole recipe, but we’re doctoring it a little by adding spinach and crumbled up goldfish for a crispy topping because that’s all we have on hand at the moment. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
We’re swaying to music (Morning Radio on Pandora) while we cook and the boys put together educational puzzles. It’s been a gorgeous day, staying close to 70 degrees with a cool breeze. The kiddos have been in and out playing on the slide and the trampoline. Maybe we’ll go for a walk after dinner.
Thinking of ending the night with a glass of wine, popcorn, and catching up on the newest episode of Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu. Though on evenings like these, when the sun is shining just right and the music is so good, we kind of don’t ever want it to end.
Sending you light and love, friends, and we hope your Friday Eve is filled with wonder.
Good morning! With the kiddos being home from school and nowhere for any of us to rush off to each day, one thing has changed big time for us in the last few weeks…
Read MoreComplete with pancakes and trampoline time. It’s 70 degrees and we have the windows and doors open, taking in as much fresh air and vitamin D as we can, at the expense of Thomas’ horrible allergies lately. The little dogs got a much needed walk this morning after only getting to run around in the back yard the last few days. It’s shaping up to be a good end to the weekend and hopefully a nice start to the week.
Hope you have a great Sunday friends (are you having trouble remembering which day of the week it is, too?) and try to enjoy this beautiful weather as much as you can! xx
The perfect weeknight dinner, even when it’s not Taco Tuesday.
