Hey you

Welcome to our blog. Here you’ll find daily dispatches and all the musings of our family’s adventures in our small town as we raise our kids, fix up our farm, and renovate houses. Thanks for stopping by! We’re so glad you’re here.

Simple Valentine’s Day Date

Simple Valentine’s Day Date

Since we had both a basketball game and basketball practice on Valentine’s Day, we agreed to keep this year’s love day simple. The solution? Schedule absolutely nothing and focus on what we had to get done.

However, what PJ didn’t know was that I had already picked up a few goodies at the store the day before. I thought a little ice cream tasting for the two of us after the kids went to bed would be fun, so I got four cartons of Talenti for us to have a few bites from each one. They hit the spot perfectly!! Not too much and not too little. Just enough.

Sometimes, and especially in this season of life we’re in, almost any moment can be turned into a date if you get creative enough (the 25 minute car ride to the farm in between picking the kids up, watching a movie after the kids go down, a quick lunch out in town). You have to make it work, people!

Also, we both agreed this one was our favorite. Yum.

A Fun Day
