Have a Beautiful Friday Night

Dear reader,

How was your week? What are you up to this weekend? We have successfully made it through the first week of school and, so far, the kids are loving it. Especially Anna, who literally shrieked with excitement the other night, “I have homework! Yay!” I hope she always has that enthusiasm for homework.

While the kids have been exhausted every night at bedtime since starting school, I have to say, I have been, too. As I am writing this, I am sipping on coffee and hoping it kicks in in time to make dinner. Matt and Beau and their friend Hayli are coming over tonight to hang out for a while, which sounds like the perfect Friday night in my book. And tomorrow might just be the most perfect Saturday morning, because I am planing on sleeping in, even if it’s just for a few more minutes.

I think we’ve earned that right this week, don’t you?
