A Quiet, Festive New Year's Eve Party

Happy New Year, dear reader.

January first is here, and the beginning of the year is one of my favorite times. We had a few friends and family over last night to celebrate New Year’s Eve, after a week of deciding if we would be able to or not. Like I said, PJ has been really sick this week, and was in bed all day yesterday. He got a lot of sleep and took some medicine and was thankfully able to pull through the night.

We had friends and family over for the second time this week (the first being Christmas) and I made a creamy mushroom and spinach pasta and we all drank wine and champagne and listened to a NYE playlist on Apple Music. It was an evening my younger self used to only dream about: spending a night in with my family and all of our loved ones as we all rang in the new year.

We broke out our holiday dishes that we only use this time of year.

There was lots of dancing and twirling and of course, lots and lots of laughing.

We played our favorite game, which was a blast as always. We were screaming and laughing the entire night. If you don’t have this game yet, you NEED to order it ASAP. I promise you won’t regret it!

It was truly a night to remember, and I can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year.
