A Funny Little Spelling Mishap
Our daughter is at the age where she confuses the pronunciation of certain letters and often gets them wrong. Most of the time it’s harmless, but the other night while we were reading her little book for school, she made a mistake that made me almost burst out laughing (I held back for her sake).
She gets her “b’s” and “d’s” confused all the time, so when she was supposed to be reading “The car came up out of the ditch,” she instead read it as:
“The car came up out of the bitch.”
She thought nothing of it and kept going, but I quickly corrected her, stuttering the letter “d” over and over until she got it. I wanted to laugh so hard, but I kept it in and just told PJ later after she went to bed.
